Is a quotation legally binding?
Generally no — a quotation is an offer, not a contract, and prices can change until the buyer accepts and work begins (which is why a validity date matters). Once you convert it into an invoice for delivered work, that becomes the binding financial record.
Do I need to show GST on a quotation?
Not necessarily. Many businesses quote a plain total and only itemize CGST/SGST/IGST on the final GST invoice. This tool's tax toggle lets you show either a simple tax-inclusive number or a breakup, whichever your buyer expects.
What's the difference between a quotation and an estimate?
In everyday use they're interchangeable — both are a pre-work price offer. Some trades use "estimate" for rough, non-final pricing and "quotation" for a firmer number, but there's no formal distinction.
Is my client's data stored anywhere?
